軍港

Breathtaking scenery created
by Japanese and U.S. naval bases

At the Yokosuka Port, developed as a military port for the U.S.
Navy and Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force, a large number of ships are right in view.
While Yokosuka is full of nature and a calm ocean, if you look at its other face, the history is tangible.

The scenery of the port visible from the Shioiri Pier is entirely different from what can be seen at the fishing port.
Since Admiral Perry first landed in Japan nearly 160 years ago, this port has been developed as a naval port. Various ships are anchored here, and it has become a famous sightseeing spot for tourists, with a large number of daily visitors.

"Yokosuka Military Port Tours" allow you to tour the port area and see Aegis ships, submarines, and a large variety of ships up close and personal.
Since the ships anchored at port vary daily, regardless of how many times you take the tour, it will be fresh and exciting each time.

The ships when seen up close are truly spectacular! You'll be blown away by the sheer size and shape of them. When passing by a ship, the crew may even wave at you.
