  • Yokosuka Port has been developed as a naval port since the landing of the Perry Expedition. It houses the U.S. Navy facilities and the headquarters of the Japan Maritime Self Defense Force.
    From a cruise ship, it's possible to see JMSDF submarines and escorts as well as U.S. Navy Aegis ships. Depending on your timing, you may also be able to see aircraft carriers and icebreakers.
